So I get these requests on a fairly frequent basis from production
companies. Most times I brush them off but from time to time, I get a genuinely
interesting one. This could be one of those. If you are between the ages of
15-21, on the cusp of losing your virginity and would like to share your
thoughts and experiences and be part of a Channel 4 documentary, have a read of
the information below and get in touch with the producers…..
The Programme
We are currently developing a programme called Virgins
(working title). The programme looks at the impact that the increasingly
easy access to on-line pornography is having on young people’s attitudes to and
experience of sex.
A recent study of 900 16-24 year olds by the University of
Plymouth found that one third of respondents felt that pornography had caused
problems in their relationships.
This series gets behind the headlines and explores what
15-18 year olds really think about sex. Through the stories of the 16 young
people we follow, we’ll hear the real stories about what teenagers think about
sex, who and what influences their thinking and what their real experiences are
– rather than sensationalist headlines or the glossed up, glamourized images of
sex they might see on-line.
Drawing from a variety of young people, all over London we
hope to represent the honest, insightful, real voice of young people in the
UK.
We want to hear the truth about what you think about sex, relationships and
virginity. We'll be following 16 young
people over the course of one summer to try and discover the realities
of young people's first time. If you are interested in speaking to me
in a bit more detail about this please contact me, Becky, on: Tel:

Please note that if you are
under 18 we will need to seek permission from your parent/ legal guardian for
you to talk to us about these issues
