The Virginity Project is temporarily going in a different direction. A step on from our first sexual experiences, I am investigating the arc of our sexual lives for a feature for The Guardian. Virginity Project story tellers past and present, many of you have shared your first time stories with me over the years. Would you now like to – anonymously, no real names will be used in this feature –  continue the journey and explore your years (or months) since the ‘first time’ and tell me about the following?

When were your best experiences? Or the worst? What is the architecture of these experiences? Is it down to the chemistry between 2 people? Or a particular age/state of mind we reach? Does great sex require a committed partnership? Or not?  What is the impact of those experiences?

How and why does our attitude towards our intimate lives change over time?

How has modern life i.e. online dating, social media and ubiquity of porn impacted our sexual lives? For good or bad? Last but not least, how much does all this matter? How important is a fulfilling sex life? I’m interested in all perspectives on this last question.
